NICOLAS BRAVO SCHOOL PROJECT
One of the objectives of The Education and Leadership Foundation is to support the improvement of social, educational, and economic conditions of communities in the United States and in Mexico.
BEYOND BORDERS
The Education and Leadership Foundation is making a difference across borders and has adopted the elementary school, Escuela Primaria Nicolás Bravo in the community of Xoconoxtle, Guanajuato as its sister school.
This elementary school was chosen because its facility was in extreme disrepair and lacked access to technology. The Education and Leadership Foundation has worked diligently and continues to do so to improve the school’s condition to provide an adequate and safe environment that is conducive to learning.
Work IN progress

THE PROCESS
SEDESOL 3X1 Program
February 27, 2013: Members of the Education and Leadership foundation form “Club de Educación y Liderazgo” in order to participate in the Migrant 3X1 Program. The Migrant 3X1 Program, carried out through the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL) in Mexico, is formed by an entity of migrants living in the United States and three entities in Mexico formed by federal, state, and local governments. Its goal is for migrants in the United States to collaborate in social projects that contribute to the development of their home communities. Moreover, it encourages a sense of identity among migrants and Mexico. In summary, for every dollar that is raised by the Education and Leadership Foundation for a project, the federal, state, and local governments of Mexico contribute three dollars.
